Who: Enki → Æn'kae & the network
What: A request
Warnings:Awkwardness? Probably none.
Jolan'tru. I um.
[A pause as he wrinkled his nose in annoyance at himself.]
Oh. This shouldn't make me as nervous as it does.
I uh, after we got those memories a few months ago, I um, I kind of came to a realization about my name and I... want to switch to using what it was actually meant to be? At least, I think it was.
[He gave a nervous smile and cleared his throat, trying to work something out. When he did the text 'Æn'kae' appeared on screen.]
That is, umm, 'Ayn-Key'. Technically speaking 'Ayn-Kay' or even "An-Key were other ways to say it, it's more of a dialect thing? And I don't know which it was meant to be for sure. I'll never know that. But I uh, I do know that my teacher, who... [Who he clearly saw as a father?] whose uh, intent I do know, always called me 'Ayn-Key'. So uh that-that's the pronunciation I'd prefer.
Anyway...
[Æn'kae rubbed at the back of his neck.]
I know you may not find changing names or having multiple to be normal. I mean, it's not like I ever bothered with it before. But I've been debating since I realized and... this is important to me and I'd like to do this. And thanks for listening, I guess?
Ah, jolan'tru.
[That parting practically mumbled as he shut off the video.]
Also? I know typing Æ is not the most intuitive thing in the world, so feel free to use Aen'kae instead. I know I will sometimes! That said, if you want to use it:

OOC Notes
Sooooo I apologize on this boy's name change. I have been trying to stick with a name made thinking the char wouldn't last and it's gotten increasingly difficult and seeing as I had an explanation I jumped on it.Also? I know typing Æ is not the most intuitive thing in the world, so feel free to use Aen'kae instead. I know I will sometimes! That said, if you want to use it:
- On the iPhone if you hold down the A, Æ appears in the special character options.
- It looks like it works via holding down A on a Mac or Android device as well, but I can't vouch for either.
- On a windows computer with a number pad it's Alt 146.
- On a computer without a number pad, your options are basically copy pasting or going to the character map program, which is frustrating. (I speak from experience, my home computer is like this.)
Totally pretending this isn't super late, hush
